Arles .
Arles is going up in the world. The Van Gogh centre is pulling in the punters and new snazzy hotels have opened their doors. We particularly like L’Hotel du Cloitre. Stylistically it’s very retro and feels a little like a dreamland. There is a sense of fun everywhere. It’s centrally located, luxurious but not crazily luxurious and affordable. As a base to explore Arles and the surrounding Camargue it’s hard to ask for more.

La Chassagnette – Arles France
La Chassagnette is one of the most recommended restaurants in Arles. In fact it’s located 15 miles away from the city centre but it really worth it make this short way by car.
The place was first a sheepfold before to became 10 years ago one of the first Bio and design restaurant..
Imagine having a lunch in a beautiful garden or having a dinner under the giant mosquito net in the middle of Camargue…
The restaurant is known for its aromatic and organic vegetable garden from which the young chef Armand Arnal (who worked with Alain Ducasse and in NY) gets inspiration and products to give shape to its chart. A hymn to organic products!!
Enjoy Royal sea-bream, Crayfish ,roasted Pigeon, bull grilled.. With astounding and forgotten vegetables…
A great experience!
