A portable, versatile, fuel efficient wood burning stove, made entirely of steel, with a special heat resistant coating, that is ready to use within one minute of lighting …  that’s what!

This kind of stove is commonly known as a rocket stove, and the T.C.1 from Hollywood Stoves is a modern twist on this age old cooking method.

The T.C.1 is the result of a collaboration between an aerospace engineer (Steve) and a precision fabricator welder (Karl).  They live a 10 minute walk from each other, in Buckshaw Village, Lancashire.

Karl and Steve both like to design super cool things, and thanks to Karl’s handywork, the cool things come to fruition.

Why they didn’t build an actual rocket, we aren’t quite sure! Maybe that is next on the list!
